Notice on Prohibition of Illegal Employment / 关于禁止国际学生在中国非法打工的紧急通知

各位留学生同学：

    近期长春市公安机关发现长春高校的国际学生存在非法打工现象，并已对非法打工的国际学生进行了严肃处理。

    根据《中华人民共和国外国人入境出境管理法和管理条例》的规定，严禁国际学生在中国境内非法打工，一经发现将处以5,000~20,000元人民币的处罚，或者处以拘留、遣送出境的处罚。

    一旦触犯中国的法律，吉林大学有权开除其学籍，望国际学生遵守中国的法律，杜绝非法打工。特此通知。

Notice on Prohibition of Illegal Employment

                                          November 14, 2014

Dear all international students:

  Recently, Changchun Public Security Bureau found that some international students are taking illegal employment off campus, those cases have been dealt strictly.

  According to the provisions of the “Regulation of the People’s Republic of China on Entry and Exit of Foreigners”, international students’ illegal employment is prohibited. Anyone who is being illegally employed shall be promptly imposed a fine of RMB 5,000 to 20,000 yuan, detained, or repatriated back to his mother country.

  Jilin University has the right to expel students who violate the laws and regulations of China. So we hope international students observe the Chinese laws and regulations, and do not take illegal employment off campus.
