Introduction
The College of Instrumentation & Electrical Engineering (CIEE) of Jilin University was founded in 2005. It was formerly the Instrument Department of Changchun Geology College. The CIEE fosters a base of high-level special talents with abilities and skills in instrument science and technology as well as electrical engineering. CIEE consists of three sectors: the Department of Survey and Control Technology & Instruments, the Department of Electrical Engineering, and the Electrical & Electron Experiment and Teaching Center.
The CIEE has a set of high-level talents training programs providing education for undergraduate to Ph.D. students. It has excellent faculty members who have been awarded numerous honors including the National Outstanding Teacher Award, the Outstanding Contribution Expert of Jilin Province Award, the Excellent Supervisor of the National Electron Design Competition Award, and many others. In recent years, ourbases and facilities for specialized experimentation have improved continuously. Our college is home to the Texas Instrument-Jilin University DSPs Laboratory and the Taiwan Lingyang Single-chip Laboratory. There are 74 faculty members at the College, which admits 200 undergraduate students, 75 graduate students, and 33 Ph.D. students annually.
CIEE places great importance on international academic exchange and cooperation. In terms of personnel training and scientific research, the CIEE has established extensive academic exchange and cooperation relationships with schools and scientific research institutes in the United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Austria, Denmark, Norway, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and elsewhere. Each year, experts and scholars from the CIEE are invited to give lectures, participate in international academic conferences, visit, and study all over the world. Meanwhile, the CIEE receives overseas students and visiting scholars from various countries and regions to study and work.
