From December 12 to 14, the delegation of three from Raffle Education Group Indonesia (RCGS) visited Jilin University. Mr. Gary Tan, RCGS president and director, and Mr. Satyajeet Gurung, the deputy head of BOD, led the delegation,

Ms. Li Meihua, Dean of College of Int’l Education (CIE), welcomed Mr. Gary Tan and introduced the general situation and development of CIE. Mr. Gary Tan expressed his gratitude to CIE’s warm reception and RCGS’ willingness to set up a bridge for Indonesian students to study in JLU. The two sides talked about the further opportunity to cooperate on joint education, in-field study, summer and winter camps. Ms. Li and Mr. Tan signed “The Cooperative Agreement between College of International Education of Jilin University and Indonesia Raffles Corp”.

On the afternoon of December 12^th, the delegation had a working talk with Mr. Yue Hui, dean of School of International Chinese Language Education. Mr. Yue gave some suggestions on the special training programs for Indonesian students and on the projects of Professional Chinese education that cater to Indonesian market. Mr. Tan said that Indonesia was in great need for Chinese-English bilingual talents and hoped that two sides could promote the cooperation. The talk also covered the issue of establishing in RCGS a practice base for Chinese Int’l Education.  

On the next morning of Dec. 13^th, the delegation went to Department of Economy, meeting Mr. Chen Mi, chair of the administrative committee, and Mr. Wang Da, chair of Department of International Economy and Trade. Mr. Chen introduced in details the history, subjects, academic achievements of Economy Department and their graduates’ career development. The two sides exchanged ideas on talent education in Sino-Indonesia economy, and discussed the possibility to have “2+2” joint education in Int’l Economy and Trade.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited State Key Laboratory of Automotive Simulation and Control, College of Automotive Engineering and the First Hospital of Jilin University. For the automotive study, they went to Tire High Precision Modeling, Automobile Performance Simulator, Four Hub Chassis Dynamometer, Automobile Electronically Controlled Drive Test-bed, Automobile Emission Test System, Automotive Structure Practical Teaching Laboratory. In the hospital, they came to know the medical treatment, teaching and academic research, and visited the out-patients, the key department exhibition and the honor wall.

RCGS, located in Jakarta of Indonesia, was founded in 2010 and grew out of the Education foundation established in 2005. It has pre-schools, primary schools, high schools, pre-university and college education. Presently, it has close relationship with Queensland University in Australia, Waseda University of Japan and other celebrated Universities all over the world. RCGS has licensed Cambridge International Examination Centre (CIS) and Global Assessment Certificate (GAC). In 2017, National Hanban / Confucius Institute Headquarters made it the Overseas testing center for Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK). In 2018, 19 students of RCGS took part in the Indonesia Teenager Winter Camp, which was held by JLU from Dec. 10^th to 21^st.
