On September 26th, International Students Association, the students club that won the honor of “Outstanding Club with Quality Programs”, joined “hundred-club recruitment” for the first time since its establishment on venue No.42 in front of the new canteen. Over 200 students clubs recruited at the same. Students of all grades took an active part in the recruitment.
To enable more students to know about it, members of International Students Association made sufficient preparations for publicity, printing the publicity and registration materials needed and arranging the venue orderly. The publicity work adopted many forms such as brochures, posters and pictures, accompanied by oral explanation. This deepened students’ understanding of the association and whetted their appetite for joining it, which would supply more new blood to the association.
The greatest highlight of International Students Association is that it gives Chinese students the opportunity to meet over 2,000 international students from over 100 countries that study in Jilin University. This could facilitate exchanges and interactions between Chinese and international students. On the recruitment venue, Diarra Ibrahima from Mali, Ahmed Abdo Farhan Saif and Al-Akhall Ashraf Abdulsalam Mohamed from Yemen, Lombardi Sofia Roncayoli from Argentina, Chu Minh Thiet and another student with the Chinese name of Hua Yuxia from Vietnam and some Chinese students gave out brochures and introduced the association. Lisa and Sophia from Ukraine sang and danced, which attracted many students. Both Chinese and international members of the association worked hard to fully demonstrate the appeal of the association. Responding to this, many students applied for joining in it.
According to the counting done by staff after the end of “hundred-club recruitment”, applicants exceeded expectation. The entrance of more members will give a boost to the association and lead it to a brighter future.
