The afternoon of April 9^th witnessed the grand opening of the the International Fluorescent Night Run Music Festival/ Outdoors Tent Festival jointly held by the College of Education and the Physical Education College on the playground of the Central Campus, Jilin University. Many Chinese and international students attended this event.  

Thanks to the brilliantly designed and marvelous activities, all the participants not only met new friends but also deepened their bond with old friends. International students were actively engaged. They talked and played games with Chinese students, increasing their understanding of each other.

At 4 p.m., the staff started to decorate the scene, put up banners, set lights and distributed tents. The activity was about to begin.
Before the activity started, many participants were already gathered on the playground. The staff gave out fluorescent sticks and tents to them one by one, with which they took photos.

At 17:30, the host announced that the activity kicked off. Then the performance of South Korean singers immediately won the applause of the audience.

The first session was the tent festival. Some participants played games in the tent; others had lively conversations outside, after all, such opportunities to talk were hard to come by for both Chinese and international students.

At 7 p.m, it was dark and getting colder. However, this did not dampen the enthusiasm of the participants. Then the fluorescent night run began. Hundreds of people ran on the track with fluorescent sticks in hand, making the playground at night so bright for the first time. The international students and Chinese students, hand in hand, did not want the activity to end.

At last, quality development teachers from the Physical Education College performed a series of fitness exercises with fluorescent props, which left a colorful mark on the playground of Jilin University in the early spring.

Altogether 500 Chinese students and 200 international students participated in this activity. In the future, we will host more interesting and diverse activities to promote exchanges between Chinese and international students.
