To enrich international students’ cultural life and enhance the influence of the Jilin local culture, International Students Association in College of International Education organized international students to watch Jilin Opera performance in Taolimei Theater.
Jilin Opera is not widely known, thus this activity enabled the international students of Jilin University to have a deeper understanding of it.
Students already sat in the front rows long before the performance began. When it started, they were captivated by the costumes of the actors on stage.
After the performance, the international students took photos with the actors backstage.
Ishdorj Orgilchimeg from Mongolia said that she loved China’s traditional culture and that the costumes of Jilin Opera were fascinating. She hoped to have more opportunities to appreciate China’s traditional culture.
