In accordance with Public Security Administration Punishments Law of the People's Republic of China, Regulation on the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, and concerned stipulations of Jilin University, provisions on regulating riding on motorcycles for international students are as follows.
Article 1 International students are prohibited from driving automotive vehicles in China without a lawful driving license (driving license assessed and approved in China), vehicle registration certificate or license plate. Illegal driving, which is deemed as unlawful act, is strictly forbidden.
Article 2 Given the potential dangers of riding on motorcycles, regardless of whether they are issued with lawful driving licenses or license plates, whether they ride on their own motorcycles and whether they are at the campus or outside, international students are strictly prohibited from riding on or taking motorcycles; otherwise, once being detected, they will be under academic probation (without degree certificates) or be expelled from Jilin University in severe cases. Dismissed students will be reported to the Entry and Exit Administration of Changchun Municipal Bureau of Public Security for recordation, and will be disqualified to continue study in China.
Article 3 The Regulation takes effect upon the date of issuing. The College of International Education reserves the rights of final explanation.
