On October 18, “2019 Certificate Conferring Ceremony for Quality Authentication for International Study in Chinese Higher Learning Institutions” was held during the 12th session of China International Education Annual Meeting. JLU successfully passed the authentication and became one of the first certified high learning institutions after the launching of the authentication program for international study. Zhao Lingshan, secretary general of China Education Association for International Exchange, released the result of the authentication and Zhao Hongwei, vice president of JLU, received The Authentication Certificate for Educational Service. The relative staff from College of International Education accompanied Vice President Zhao for the above-mentioned activities.
The authentication is a quality control system for the education of international students in China’s higher learning institutions, which is launched by China Education Association for International Exchange under the direction of Ministry of Education. JLU started the preparatory work in 2018 as a pilot program. In January 2019, JLU officially signed the application for authentication and in June an expert panel came to JLU for on-site investigation and appraisal.
Passing the authentication is meaningful for the long-term development of JLU’s international education. The professional, objective evaluations from the third party bring new thoughts and show the direction for JLU’s international education. Taking this authentication as a new opportunity and upholding the principles of “Enhancing quality and efficiency” and “quality first”, CIE will push to a higher level the management and cultivation of international education, promote its wholesome and sustainable development, and serve better JLU’s endeavor for “double first rate” construction.
