The masquerade ball rang up its curtains with dances performed by African and Indian students. Abdullah from Iraq and Zhao Xiaxi from College of Foreign Languages hosted the ball.
In addition to the dance section, game section, photo-taking section and freehand sketching section in the ball last year, a section for teaching social dance was added this year. Members of the Social Dance Association performed waltz Nocturne and taught students in pairs. Later on with music of their own country played, students went onto the stage successively, leading the audience to sway together. In the game section, Shiatsu mat, ring toss and rings were set up to boost the interaction between Chinese students and their foreign peers. In the photo-taking and freehand sketching sections, students queued up to get a souvenir of this unforgettable memory. Solo singing by Russian student NAMSRAIJAV KHALIUN and Tajikistan student SHARIPOV FIRDAVS, dance “Indian Sizzlers” and dance medley by the dance club ignited the audience once again.
With the audience mood running high, the ball lasting two and a half hours concluded with presentation of the Best Look Award.
