JLU Sunny Sport Series the 18th College Cup Football Match was held in Central Campus Stadium from April 19 to May 17, 2018. After a month of fierce competition, College of International Education Team, consisted of 25 int’l student from 18 countries, beat its rival in the final 2:0 and won the championship of the match.
During the month, CIE team, which joined in the match for the first time, advanced to quarterfinal after four group games, then semifinal and final. The final was extremely tough as both teams exchanged attacks and defenses continuously. Cheered and applauded by the spectators, CIE team finally took the game. After the match, Captain 巴卡, a Malian student, said he thanked JLU for the chance to communicate with Chinese students on the pitch. He and his players enjoyed the game and made a lot of football pals and gained friendship as well. The championship was a return for the team’s effort and he was greatly honored as the captain of the team.
Football is bridge for friendship as sweat is convergence of emotions. This football match fully demonstrated the vitality and elegance of JLU int’l students, added multicultural colors to campus life, and disseminated the sportsmanship of unity, friendship, and struggle.
