Also, they made dumplings, watched Chinese films and visited places like the Puppet Manchurian Imperial Palace & Exhibition Hall and CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd.
On August 23rd, the camp members, before their departure, went to Beijing and visited the Chinese Culture Experience Center at Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters. They played ancient Chinese chimes, guqin (seven-stringed musical instrument) and pipa (four-stringed musical instrument) with great interest, and they took pictures of themselves in ancient Chinese clothes. They then visited places of interest including the Confucius Temple and Guozijian Museum, National Museum of China, the Palace Museum, the Great Wall and the Tian’anmen Square. The camp members were all amazed by China’s mutually glorifying ancient and modern civilization as well as the great changes brought by the country’s socio-economic development.
