College of International Education and International Exchange & Service Center under Logistics Group of Jilin University jointly held the 2017 Friendship International Football Match. The purpose was to enhance the friendship between Chinese students and their foreign counterparts by giving them the chance to play football together and to promote the sound development of students in all aspects by encouraging them to do sports and become stronger and enterprising.
For this match 60 Chinese and foreign students formed six teams, namely, Team of Chinese Students, Team of Hexie Jiayuan, Team of Nanhu Guesthouse, Team of Northern Zone Dormitory, Team of University Town and Team of Friendship Guesthouse.
To ensure that the match could go smoothly, International Exchange & Service Center under Logistics Group of Jilin University did an enormous amount of work productively in promotion and publicity, logistics service, organization of the match and security. Hence the match was joyful, orderly and fair.
The match kicked off officially on May 15th and lasted 12 days. All teams fought hard passionately. Their impressive cooperative moves, aggressive offence and successful defenses all showed their desire to win. The match attracted many international students who were cheering on the spot. It turned out that Team of Nanhu Guesthouse won all three rounds and won the first place, and Team of Friendship and Team of University Town won the second place and third place respectively. Team of Chinese Students, Team of Hexie Jiayuan and Team of Northern Zone Dormitory won the Award of Solidarity, Award of Striving and Award of Friendship.
On May 26th, leaders from College of International Education and International Exchange & Service Center under Logistics Group attended the closing ceremony and granted awards to all winning teams. They encouraged students to participate in more cross-cultural exchange activities of all kinds and make their learning and living more diverse and interesting.
